I have noticed that the refugees are mostly human— or hyur, as we call them on Hydaelyn. I wonder if there are truly that many worlds which they call home, or if the rest of us are simply slow to wake.
[ Thoughts for another time, he supposes, especially since he understands almost nothing of the workings of the stasis pods or how the Natha are helping those recovering from the Storm. ]
I would know more of this Westeros of yours as well. What is the Wall? And what lives to the north if the humans occupy the south?
[ although, here was a topic that he knew to a fair degree. and he is always more than happy (or as happy as Stannis might be) to speak on such a topic. ]
The Wall is what it sounds like. It is a giant wall of ice that stretches from the Shivering Sea to the Sunset Sea. They say that it was raised with the help of giants and magic thousands of years ago.
[ a pause ]
The giants yet live beyond the Wall, as do a number of men, calling themselves wildings. For years, we believed that was all we had to guard ourselves against.
Creatures of ice and snow, or so the legends say. Their powers are such that they can make the dead walk again. Until recently, we had all thought that they were but an ancient myth, used to scare ill-behaved children. But the men of the Night's Watch- those that protect the Wall have seen them with their own eyes. And as winter comes, I have no doubt that they would begin a war upon all of us.
Would that we all could be so fortunate to have the evils of our worlds snuffed out in such a way.
[ He somehow doubts the Natha are that selective, however. Not that he has gone looking for the evil men of his homeland who may yet be sleeping. He is content to put them out of sight and out of mind, and should they wake, he’ll deal with it then. ]

But, there are Others.
[ not others. Others. ]

Such as what?

[ a pity that the capital "o" is not viewable. ]

Gods. There exists such magic on Hydaelyn, though to call it taboo would be an understatement. That these beings possess such chills me to hear.
[ No pun intended. ]

[ what he had seen... still haunted his memories. ]
Fortunately, I have yet to see them in the Moon's Halls here. May they and their corpses have met their ends in the Storm's wrath.

[ a sigh. ]
But, given what I have seen in stasis, I do not believe that we shall be so fortunate.

[ He gives a small shrug. Jury's still out on the Natha, as far as he's concerned. ]
I suppose in the end, all we can do be ready to deal with it, should it come to that.

[ he clenches his jaw, slowly working his teeth back and forth. ]
Be that as it may, there are more urgent threats to worry about in this land.
